Oral delivery of a salmon gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog (6.25-50 ug/kg body wt) and domperidone (6.25-50 mg/kg body wt) to the jullien's mud carp induced spawning in 60-100 percent of treated animals within 24 hr of administration. There were no significant differences in the proportion of fish that spawned, mortility after treatment, fertilization and hatching rates among treated groups. However, the mortality rate in incubated animals was significantly lower than that of injected animals.
