Management of inshore fisheries in Malaysia has been reviewed in order to clarify some aspects related to development of national fisheries policies, status of fisheries industries, management and conservation on fisheries resources in Malaysia. National fisheries policies which have been started since 1966, status of fisheries industries in Malaysia especially marine fisheries, enforcement and regulation controlled fisheries resources including technical control, biological control, social and political control have been summarized in this paper.
