[Legislative support of environmental protection at ecological emergency situations]

The provision of ecological safety is considered as a critical task of the state environmental policy. This is caused by the factors as follows: significant anthropogenous and technological overloading of Ukraine's territory; negative ecological consequences of the Chornobyl accident, the ineffective use of natural resources; the wide use of ecologically hazardous and unperfect technologies; natural cataclisms. Listed are the requirements of normative and legislation documents regulating the activities capable of enhancing the level of ecological safety for the population and that of natural systems, localization of the manifestations of the ecological safety. In Ukraine supposed is the creation of organizational and legislative systems and services to prevent of accidents, catastrophes, other emergency situations
