[Assessing the risk of falling ill of bronchial asthma in Ukraine's regions with the different level of atmospheric air pollution]

As one of the main criteria of the environmental quality, recognized is the state of population health. The analysis showed that in the structure of the general disease occurrence among Ukraine's population the diseases, which are consequences of technological pollution of the environment gained the occurence. It is found out that, according to the degree of hazard to human health, the first place belongs to atmospheric air pollution. In the recent years observed is the process of lowering the pollutant emissions from the stationary sources to the air, and in some places of the Dniepropetrovsk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya oblasts an increase of the emissions. Today 15.3 % of Ukraine's population lives in the conditions of light atmospheric air pollution, 58.2 - of significant and 7.6 % - of very heavy pollution. Results are given of studying bronchial asthma disease in children in Ukraine's regions with the different levels of atmospheric pollution and calculations of a relative risk of bronchial asthma occurrence in these regions. It is proposed to pay attention to this issue while realizing the National Plan of Actions on Environmental Hygiene in Ukraine, and also to isolate a group of risk among the children with inherited inclination to the development of the disease
