Scoring-selection result of distinguished cashew lines in Vietnam and rapid multiplied technology of cashew variety

The cashew (Anacardium occidentale) came to Vietnam hundred's years ago from overseas by different ways. Every year, new cashew lines with poor characteristics have been appeared by cashew's open pollinated characteristic. They caused cashew yielding to become worse and worse in Vietnam. From 1998 to 2000, Agricultural Research Center for South Coaster Vietnam has determined and selected 760 good cashew lines in Vietnam. Two hundred and sixty lines of them are excellent. Specially, two excellent cashew lines, DH66 and DH67 with high yielding capability, big grains have been multiplied rapidly2 for extent experiment in different ecological areas. The graft method is applied for cashew variety producing by asexual multiplied technology.
