[Biological composition of sapropel and hydrobionta index fossils appled for the diagnosis of paleo-lake trophic level]

Composition of biological remains in Belarusian lake sediments has been studied. In order to predict the paleo-lake trophic level, the study defined index fossils (which act as trophic conditions indicators) and quantitative indices of biological components. The interpretation of the nutrient content change in some lakes in Holocene epoch has been presented
