Survey of quality for fish feed in period 1999-2004 [Serbia and Montenegro]

The paper presents the results of the microbiological analysis of 132 trout feed samples and of 52 carp feed samples, as well as analyses of the chemical composition of 55 carp feed samples and 28 trout feed samples which are submitted for control to laboratories of Institute of Veterinary Medicine of Serbia from the import and from the territory of the Republic of Serbia during the period from 1999 until 2004. Feed for trouts is completely pelleted and mainly of good quality, with sporadic lacks which are not in accordance with technology and legislative demands, but with no difference regarding its origin (foreign or domestic production). By analysing carp feed some nutritive problems are noticed mainly regarding fungi contamination of not pelleted carbohydrate feeds.
