Necessity of insecticide application in fruit production, using preparations with better ecotoxicological properties, enforces as a special need in modern agricultural production. In this paper we were investigated efficacy of preparation Mospilan 20 SP (active ingredient-acetamipride) from new class of insecticides - neonictinoides, that is characterising with high efficacy and low toxicity, for control of rosy apple aphid - Dysaphis plantaginea (Passerini) (Hom.: Aphididae) on apple cultivar Idared. Substitution of preparations from the group of organophosphorous insecticides, especially preparations based on dimethoate (Sistemin 40 EC), is significant improvement in fruit protection.
