In this paper, a computer simulation was attempted to control the position of the midwater trawl equipped in the T/RV Shinyo-maru of Tokyo University of Fisheries. The dynamics of net position simulated with the warp length and towing speed as a control parameter agreed with the phenomenon observed in the field experiment. As an example of applying the result of the simulation to actual operation, the method of controlling the net to the target fish school was given by a graphic representation in some initial values of warp length or towing speed. In actual operation, it may be easy to quickly control the net based on these results with relative horizontal distance and vertical distance from the target fish school to the net position. In addition, it was clarified that the effect of the initial warp length on change of the net depth and control time was very small.
