This book outlines the vegetation resources and oppurtunities for utilisation of Mokogodo Forest Reserve in Laikipia District, Kenya. The Mukogodo Forest Reserve is surrounded by bushland vegetation communities and is occupied by the Mukogodo Maasai who are in transition from pastoralism to agropastoralism. The book has seven chapters that deal with following aspects of Mokogodo Forest Reserve; vegetative resources, non-wood forest products, indigenous food plants, gum arabic and gum resin resources and the biomass energy status. The linkages between vegetation, livestock, wildlife and man are also discussed.
