The identities of bacteriocinogenic lactic acid bacteria isolated from Philippine fermented rice and fish mixture and fermented rice cake were found to be Pediococcus acidilatici and Enterococcus faecium, respectively, through 16SrRNA gene sequencing and homology search from the NCBI database using the BLAST program. The spectra of antimicrobial activity of pH-neutralized, cell-free culture broth of the bacteriocinogenic isolates were also elucidated.
