The content of Ca, P, Na, K, Mg, Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu in green forages utilized during summer, namely pasture, alfalfa and maize was determined on dairy farms of Central-East Poland. A delay of pasture utilization (from the grazing stage to the end of flowering) decreased K (from 24 to 18 g/kg DM) and Fe (from 300 to 140 mg/kg DM) and an increase of Mn (from 60 to 100 mg/kg DM) concentration. The alfalfa utilized in the later stage of growth had somewhat higher Ca and K contents. A decrease of K (from 16 to 5 g/kg DM) and Fe (from 160 to 120 mg/kg DM) levels in maize forage was noted with a delay of its utilization from the beginning of ear emergence to the flint stage. The average contents of minerals in pasture and maize forage did not cover dairy cow requirements of Na, Ca and P
