Styszko, L. | Modzelewski, T. | Kamasa, J. | Majewski, A.
The relationship between starch content and morphological characteristics of tuber i.e. shape uniformity, depth of eyes, quality of skin, general appearance and size of tuber were analysed for 131 clones in 1976-96. Regression analysis indicated negative dependence between the starch content or yield and morphological characteristics of potato tubers. The dependence was regular in case of starch content in tuber in 1986-96, and in case of starch yield in 1995-96 years. The starch content in tubers and the starch yield decreased significantly with increase of indexes of morphological characteristics of tubers, with exception of the positive relationships of the starch yield with tuber size index
