Soils of mid-moraine depressions as biogeo-chemical bariers in an agricultural landscape of Mazurian Lakeland (Poland)
Sowinski, P. | Smolczynski, S. | Orzechowski, M.(Uniwersytet Warminsko-Mazurski, Olsztyn (Poland). Katedra Gleboznawstwa i Ochrony Gleb)
The Baranowo catena represents a landscape of hilly ground moraine typical of the Mazurian Lake District (Poland). In the depression examined, gyttjas and low moor peats (alder wood, reed, sedgereed) are accumulated. They are weakly and strongly disturbed and are modified by processes of anthropogenic denudation. Soils occurring herein have been included into deluvial and muck soils. Brown soils also occur in their vicinity. The content of macroelements (Ca, Mg, K, Na, P, Fe) is the highest in mineral and mineral-organic deposits of deluvial and mucky soils (except of Ca)
