Prediction of the temperature field in a pebble-bed store of thermal energy with the use of the MLP artificial neural network

Storage of thermal energy with the use of a pebble-bed store is an unusually efficient and simple solution. The estimation of temperature inside the bed for demanded dimensions at the chosen working phase of running it (charge, storage, discharge) - is difficult and time-consuming process (the necessity of carrying out of natural experiment). The essential feature of artificial neural networks is a possibility of prediction. It permits to use them predicting the field of temperatures, reducing the time of experiment and financial expenses. So in the present work artificial neural network of the perceptron type (MLP - MultiLayer Perceptron) was used. On the basis of the taught perceptron a computer system was designed and produced enabling prediction of the temperature field
