Pesticide residues in watermelon using RBPR technique

Field experiment was conducted to imitate farmer's practices in pesticide use on hybrid watermelon receiving sole and mixed pesticides with a wide range of doses rendering 31 treatments. They were sprayed 12 times through the whole season. Seven days after spraying, watermelons were sampled to detect pesticide residues in peel and fresh of young and riped fruits by using Rapid Bioassay of Pesticide Residues (RBPR) expressing in term of inhibition percentage. Results showed that all of the samples had pesticide residues ranged from 0.33 to 21.78 percent, which were qualified for domestic market and exportation.
