Pesticide usage of durian grower in Prachinburi province

Pesticide usage survey of 52 durian growers were carried out at Muang District of Prachinburi Province by using questionnaires during October, 2000-March, 2001. The studies revealed that pest problems are durian psyllids, thrips, mites, fruit boring caterpillar, mealybungs, root rot, leaf fall and pink disease where as pesticides for controlling these pest are endosulfan, carbaryl, carbosulfan, propargite, fosetyl-aluminium, copper oxychloride, carbendazim. In addition, the results indicated the durian growers tended to decrease the use of pesticides.
