Growth and flower production of 12 gerbera varieties were studied. The experiment was conducted at Lampang Agricultural Research and Training Centre during Sep 1997 - Aug 1998. The results showed that the number of new plantlets per crown was highest in December and January with 9.76 and 9.92 plantlet per crown respectively. The highest number of number of flower per plant was found in April. Flowering of gerbera was not affected by hot weather in summber season. The "Rebecca" variety had the highest number of flower per plant per year (64.84) and had the highest number of new plantlet per crown (63.60). Plant characteristics, such as leaf size, length of flower stem, diameter of disc floret and diameter of ray floret differed in all varieties.
