Evaluatation of downy mildew reaction on different germplasm of corn in 1997

Corn downy midew Peronosclerospora sorghi is one of the most important disease in corn belt areas in Thailand. The objective of this experiment was to detect resistant to this desease in various corn matterials. Thirty three lines and varieties were evaluated in 1997 early rainy season. The results showed that the means of inbred line, hybrid trial and sweet corn-baby corn were 13.97, 16.07 and 65.83 percent respectively compared with Tuxpeno-1 (susceptible check).
