Growth capacity and carcass composition of hybrid pig D x (LR x Y), D x (Y x LR) at two feeding regims

In animal raising at farm households D x (LR x Y) and D x (Y x LR) crossbred pigs had high ability with low feed consumption. They obtained lean meat rate of 56.50 percent. Under a limited feeding regime 20 percent less compared to the free feeding regime, the growth rate of the fatteners in the stage of 65 - 90kg body weight reduced by 3.42 percent. At the same time, raising duration was longer by 5 days. Fortunately, feed consumption reduced by 5.80 percent and lean meat rate increased by 1.10 percent. In short in term of economic efficiency, the limited feeding regime helped to reduce input expenditure and provide higher economic efficiency compared to the feeding regime.
