The report seeks to highlight the protection and utilisation of grapple plant- harpagophytum procumbens DC in some areas around Mabutsane sub district in Botswana.This is mainly done by women who are illiterate,(60%) illiteracy rate, poor and most have never been to school. The plant is the one of the most important source of livelihood for the these people.
