[Trees planting density influence on growth and productivity of cultivar-rootstock combinations of apple]

The yielding per area unit of studied cultivars was higher in more dense plantations due to higher trees number per hectare, though each separate plant yielded better in less dense plantations than in dense ones. The area and trunk cross sectional area growth decreased with the separate tree nourishment range decrease. One-line planting schemes stand out by the productivity and fruit qualitative indixws: 4x1.5m - for the cultivars "Antonovka", "Orlik", "Verbnoe" on the rootstock 54-118; 4x1m - for "Orlik", 3.5x0.75m for "Antonovka" and "Verbnoe" on the rootstock 62-396
