In 2004, studies on yield, size and chemical composition of four varieties of cranberry Vaccinum macrocarpon ait.: "Stevens", "Searles", "Ben Lear" and "Piligrim" were carried out. In the spring of 2004 the plantation was fertilized five times with a solution of urea phosphate in two doses: 1) 4,5kg N + 11,25kg P2O5 + 13 K2O kg x ha-1; 2) 9kg N + 22,5kg P2O5 + 26 K2O kg x ha-1. The control plot was left without fertilization. The initial studies showed a highly significant influence of fertilization on the yield of fruit as well as the content of dry mass, organic acids and vitamin C. Higher yields were obtained when applying the lower doses of fertilizers
