[The purification of wastewaters of milk-processing plant in the anaerobic bioreactors with the immobilized microorganisms]

Process of anaerobic purification of milk processing plant wastewaters in bioreactors by the immobilized microorganisms spontaneously proliferated in waters has been investigated. Under the anaerobic conditions the maximum achievable degree of wastewater purification according to the chemical oxygen demand (COD) (90%) should not exceed 30 deg C. It has been shown that the biogas formed in the anaerobic destruction of wastewater pollutants contains 50-70 % of methane. The process of wastewater cleaning in flow bioreactors with the fixed carrier and the ascending stream of liquid in the combined bioreactor based on UASB-reactor has been studied. High efficiency of the combined bioreactor providing COD decrease up to 70-89% under organic loading rates of 2,6-8,7 kg COD/m3*day has been stated
