Species reported from exotic flavouring plants growing in glasshouses of the Botanical Garden belong to the pests commonly and numerously found in glasshouse production. Insects inhabiting the plants studied belong to the order Hemiptera. During two-year observations the presence of pests had not been stated only on V. planifolia. Among them representatives of the superfamily Coccoidea prevailed (4 species) while superfamily Aphidoidea was represented only by one species. Conditions in glasshouses promote the development of pests particularly insects belonging to the superfamily Coccoidea wich owing to small size and wax secretions protecting their bodies resist the total extermination from glasshouses despite systematic chemical treatments
