Research results on determination the content of phytoestrogenes in vegetative forage were presented. The highest concentration of oestrogenically active substances in forage was stated in the process of forage conservation. At the time of storage the roughage fodder, hay and straw lost their oestrogenic activity and the quantity of phytoestrogenes rised in ensilage forage and haylage. Research results showed that in 38,7% of cases the ensilage process and storage life exercised influence on the oestrogenic activity of silage and haylage because of species character, presence of various concentrations of inorganic and organic compounds, availability of oxygen in silage mass, etc. Research results proved that the presence of phytoestrogenes in forage should be taken into account for the effective organization of animals feeding during different seasons of year
