[Selective value of potato inbred lines]

Research results of study of the combining ability of seven inbred lines of potato (Solanum tuberosum) according to the productivity, number of tubers per plant, tuber mass, starch and reducing sugar content, resistance to the late blight are presented. Usage of not only the 1-st and the 2-nd but also the 3-d lines of inbred generations proved to be perspective in the selection process. The best hybrid combinations are presented. Recommendations on inbred lines use in breeding are proposed
