Influence of irrigation on chemical parameters
2005
Knezevic, J.
During the research, analyses were done on influence of chemical parameters of soil due to water irrigation. In that matter, the following chemical parameters of soil were analyzed: general chemical parameters (pH value, content of CaCO3, humus content and total nitrogen content, content of available phosphorus and potassium), soil salinity (percentage of salt, electro-conductivity, pH paste), composition of water disposing anions, composition of water disposing and adsorbed cations as well as water quality for irrigation and ground water quality. The analyses took place on humogley soil type, on two parcels that were irrigated with two different quantity of water. The parcels, that are irrigated, are in ownership of Agrolux located in place called Basaid. To evaluate the influence of irrigation on analysed parameters of soils, the received results were compared with results gathered during the soil probing that were necessary to be done for building the irrigation system. With analyses, the results gave scientific evidence that irrigation contributed to changes in analyzed parameters of soil during the 12 year period of exploitation.
