The bacterization with a liquid inoculum of the maize ZP SC 677 seed was performed in the present study. The following mixture of selected species of diazotrophs and their highly efficient strains were included into the inoculum: 1. Azotobacter chroococcum strain 84; 2. Azospirillum lipoferum strain 2; 3. Klebsiella planticola strain 4; 4. 1+2+3+ Bacillus megaterium + Azotobacter vinelandi + Bacillus subtilis; 5. 1+3+Bacillus megaterium + Azotobacter vinelandi + Bacillus subtilis. The four N-fertilizer variants (application rates) were used in the trial. Values of parameters of soil biology were higher under conditions of bacterization in dependence on the rate of applied nitrogen, and also grain yield was higher. The highest values of observed parameters were determined in the variants with 60 and 90 kg N/ha, hence it can be concluded that the application of bacterization can rationalise the use of nitrogen fertilizers, which certainly is of an importance from the aspect of sustainable agriculture.
