Product package is an integral part of a concept of product and plays an important role in communication between product and market, or between manufacturer and consumer. Modern product package has to filtill different demands. Basic goal is finding a buyer with satisfactory quality level. There are different aspects of viewing a product package, such as: production, protection (preservation) and marketing (promotion). Preservation and promotion are considered the most important functions of product package. From the aspect of production, product package preserves the product untill its final use. Promotional aspect contributes to satisfying demand of consumers in psychological, esthetic and economic sense. According to strategy of producing ecological products (recycling, dematerialisation, substitution, recuperation), ecological significance of package becomes more and more important. Ecological package is package better adjusted to the natural environment.
