The tendencies in changes of areas, yield, production and turnover of plums on international market have been studied and analysed in the first part of the study. The second part of study presents the research results on changes in number of trees, yield per tree, production, processing, market delivery, market distribution and export of the plums from the Republic of Serbia during the period of 1992-2002. These data have been analysed both at agricultural enterprises and agricultural farms level, as well as at the regions and municipalities level. At the first, the study emphasises trade and economic importance of the plums and its production.
