This paper should indicate the possibility of overall development of the Ljig municipality through affirmation of the spa complex and development of this type of tourism. The Avene commune (France) is an example with the results that can justify the intention of development of spa activities in the Ljig municipality. Purpose of this paper is to underline different possibilities of the affirmation of the spa potential in the Ljig municipality, having in mind that the spa is still in initial phase of its development.
