[Traditional spas - potential tourism centres in Serbia]

Three hundred localities with geothermal characteristics and with tradition of permanent and temporary use have been identified in the Serbian space. These localities are famous as traditional spas or small spas. To their development in previous strategic development documents have not been given enough attention. In this paper have been given certain planning measures which are aiming towards activating, organizing and protecting of space with these thermomineral water springs i.e. traditional or small spas. Its potential role in spatial and functional organization of Serbian space have been also emphasized.
