The Bio-Farm is an integrated, nature-based resource management, food production and environment restoration concept. The basic principles of the Bio-Farm include: return whatever you take, work with nature rater than against nature, cooperate rather than compete and use indigenous knowledge. Bio-Farm clearly demonstrates that ecological factors influence or limit the economic and cultural components of the society. Several appropriate technologies (biogas, solar panels, double digging, drip irrigation, hydroponics, beehives, botanicals and vermiculture) have been tested and demonstrated. These technologies can restore the environmental conditions for agricultural activities, improve production and create wealth. Over 5,000 visitors and trainees have been at the Bio-Farm so far.
