Today I can't find out the study on the part - time fishery establishment with farming at all. One of the reasons is following condition. That is to say. before 1960s almost of the fishery establishments run the farming together in Japan, but after 1970s these part - time fishery establishments rapidly decreased. And the rate of these part - time fishery establishments decreased to 14% 1998. One more reason is based on the resent trend of the study methodology that the objects are subdivided to fishery, farming, and forestry each. Now, shall the part -time fishery establishments with farming together disappear before long ? This study is the answer to this question. The methodology of this study is statistical analysis. The results of this study are following two points. (1) Today undoubtedly the part - time fishery establishments with farming together rapidly decreased. But more than 30% of the fishery establishments run the farming together in the small - sized fishery strata and "Nori" laver aquaculture. And there are not a little these part - time fishery establishments with farming together at East China Sea. (2) And, the percentage of farming income in the total income of fishery establishment is about 10% now. It is certainly not so many, but it has meaningful economic role, because generally fishery income is very changeable, but farming income is comparatively constant. Therefore I could get the result that certainly the part -time fishery establishments with farming together changed to minor sector today, but are still one of the active types of fishery establishments, so will continue in the future.
