The evaluation of the silicon supplying capacity in the paddy field of Yamagata prefecture [Japan]

The actual condition of Si content of paddy rice in Yamagata prefecture was grasped, and Si supplied from soil and irrigation water was evaluated. Analysis method of the available Si used phosphate buffer extraction was applied to the field paddy soil. In addition, Si fertilizer response was evaluated by the water-weakly acidic cation exchange resin method. Based on these results, the standard application rate of Si fertilizer on alluvial soil was produced as experiment.
