This study was conducted to investigate the cause of leaf chlorosis of 'Campbell Early' grape (Vitis labruscana B.) occurring often in June and July. For the purpose, mineral contents of leaves and chemical properties of soil between chlorotic and nonchiorotic (normal) vineyards were compared in 2002 and 2003. Subsequently, the effects of over-fruiting, early defoliation and chilling treatment of root on leaf chlorosis of grape tree were evaluated. Leaf chiorosis of 'Campbell Early' grapes occurred in June was observed in the proximal shoot and that occurred in July was mainly observed in the leaves of second growing shoot. In June, there were no significant differences between chlorotic and normal 'Campbell Early' vineyards on mineral contents of leaves and chemical properties of soil.
