The aim of investigation was to determine the concentrations of Pb, Zn and Cu in selected types of forest floor in typical pine, beech and spruce forests at Lower Silesia region. Sampling points were located on relatively slightly contaminated areas. Heavy metals concentrations were determined by AAS technique in solutions obtained from sample ignition followed by ash digestion with concentrated HNO3. Total concentration of metals depends on forest type rather than forest type. Concentration of copper and lead are higher in studied forest floors in pine forest as compared with other lowland regions of Poland
