The aim of the paper was to present conditions of enterprises development on the basis of Starozreby county (Poland). Farmers running non agriculture activity were questioned. Non-agriculture enterprise development creates the economy system changes. Small enterprise can make the role of catalyst in village development. Searching for alternative sources of income in agriculture and in other areas is a factor, which stabilize financial situation of rural areas inhabitants. Small enterprise survival depends of having economic resources, efectivnes of management and socio-economic conditions. More than half of them stop activity in their first years of exsistance
