The essence of diversification and its types and developed new methods of its classification according to the number of branches, into which organization diversified, strategies, objects of diversification and kinds of activity has been examined. Business and goods diversification have been specially considered as having complex structure. On the basis of the lead estimation of structure and character of activity of Gomel Plant of the trading equipment the author offers hierarchical classification in which the organization as result of diversification business and the goods is especially allocated completely diversificative and the following offers has been done: - the enterprise is completely diversificative, in its portfolio are available related (the trading equipment, furniture, autoproduction, premises of container type) and unrelated (bags, plastic) kinds of business; - for the enterprise it is characteristic diversification the goods; - the enterprise possesses the operative effect connected with distribution of burden of an overhead charge by the basic kinds of business
