[Problems and prospects of flax production development]

The tendencies of the world flax products market, the analysis of flax branch state in the Republic of Belarus, the proposals on increasing the efficiency of the national flax subcomplex, the development of raw materials base, the perfection of the flax and flax products processing technology, the directions of improvement of the organizational structure of flax branch were analyzed. In the modern conditions the world flax market is developing and functioning on the basis and owing to perfection of the scientific support, introduction of modern technologies, production intensification in the conditions of lowering of crop plantings and reduction of prices on raw materials. The particular feature of the modern market is the extension of the area of flax products application. According to the forecasts of the leading world flax production managers in the nearest years the total amount of the output density of flax and flax-containing fabrics can be increased up to 70%. Expansion of natural fibers application in different branches of economy is forecasted. In the Republic of Belarus in order to retain the position of the active contracting party on the world flax market it is necessary to take into account the present and long-term tendencies of production and use of flax products. For the implementation of the perspective potentialities of market development in the conditions of the active influence on the flax market situation it is necessary to overcome the existing problems of the national flax subcomplex as well as to provide the balanced development by means of the end-to-end solution of problems of raw material production, their processing and sales it the concurrent increasing of products quality parameters
