[The efficiency of PVMA with new sort of rape in steers rations]

Cultivation and rape seeds processing and their utilization in animal feeding is one of ways of the proteinaceous problem solution in Belarus. Capabilities for augmentation of rape production considerably increased due to successes of selection of winter hardy, productive varieties, development of industrial technology of cultivation, breeding of grades with the low content of erucic acid and glucosinolates. Utilization of rape in agricultural animal feeding long time was restrained because of presence in it of thioglycosides (glucosinolates) in quantity of 5-6% which at hydrolysis disintegrate on toxiferous connections. Glucosinolates, probably, are not toxic, but some kinds of microbes, present in gastrointestinal tract, have the conforming systems of ferments for their hydrolysis. It was established that rape oilcake and rape oil containing of 1,4-1,9% of glucozynolates and 27-30 mkMol per 1 kg of DM of erucic acid can be used in KR-2 mixed feed in the dose of 15-20% of total value. As a result, daily gains of calves became to 876-906 g while feed expenses were 4,66-5,17 FU per 1 kg of gain
