The dynamics of moisture content of seeds and vegetating parts of plants during ripening has been analyzed. Desiccation of crops before harvesting helps to increase the yield and its quality considerably. Non-simultaneous ripening of pods in different parts of the plant leads to considerable losses of seeds during harvesting. Humidity of various parts of plants of rape during maturing is fluctuated over a wide range: seeds - 7-45%, a stalk - 21-75% depending on an arrangement. Glumes of pods lose moisture at maturing more intensively than seeds. Application of desiccant Reglon super in a doze 3 l/ha and waters 100 l/ha provides preliminary drying of seeds on 0,3-2,5%, and Glumes of pods on 0,7-4,7% depending on canopy of inflorescences. The variant of desiccation with the consumption of water of 200 l/ha has appeared effective enough only at preliminary drying of glumes of pods. Application of desiccation allows to keep 2,8-3,9 c/ha of seeds, to lower expenses for the subsequent drying of heap and to raise quality of harvesting. Desiccation of crops allows to receive profit 54,5-97,2 thousand rbl/ha at profitability of 105,0-190,6%. Economic efficiency of offered actions on desiccation of rape crops is caused the following reasons: increase of completeness of harvesting due to thrashing of seeds from the bottom of lateral branches and branches of the second order; decrease in expenses for drying of grain heap received from grain combines
