Comportamiento de 15 lineas de Hibiscus sp. ante una población de Meloidogyne incognita en Las Tunas.

Ante una población de Meloidogyne incognita procedente de guayabo infestado, fueron probadas 15 variedades, líneas o ambas de kenaf, con el objetivo de conocer la susceptibilidad al ataque y el comportamiento de los diferentes indicadores de la planta en presencia de esta especie de nematodo. Para llevar a cabo esta experiencia, fueron construidos cuatro canteros, en tres de los cuales se sembraron todas las variedades, replicadas cada una de ellas 10 veces, con un grado medio de infestación 3; el cuarto quedó como testigo sin inóculo. Las plantas se dejaron crecer durante 60 días, al cabo de los cuales se extrajeron a raíz completa, se evaluó el grado de infestación mediante la escala de Zeck y se midieron los indicadores altura, diámetro, peso verde y peso seco, para determinar con estos valores la susceptibilidad al ataque y al daño. Las lineas de Hibiscus 558 y 710 mostraron poca susceptibilidad al ataque al manifestar grados medios de infestación menores que 1, mientras que la '2015' resultaba resistente. Las variedades de mayor susceptibilidad al ataque fueron la '977', '1254', '3014', '1013', '1087', '4012' y '3030', con grados de infestación superiores a 2. Las mayores pérdidas en los indicadores medidos corresponden a las variedades '977', '4001', '618' y '2030'.

Fifteen varieties, lines or both of kenaf were tested in the presence of a Meloidoqyne, incognita population from guava, in order to gain knowledge about their susceptibility to attack and the behavior of the different plant parameters in the presence of this species of nematode. To carry out this experiment, four beds were prepared and in three of them all the varieties were planted, and replicated 10 times with a rate 3 of infestation, leaving the fourth one as uninoculated control. The plants were allowed to grow for 60 days, they were then completely uprooted, and the rate of infestation was assessed using the Zeck scale and measuring the following parameters: beight, diameter, green weight and dry weight, to determine by those values the susceptibility to attack and damage. The Hibiscus lines '558' and '710' showed a low susceptibility to attack, presenting medium rates of infestation lower than 1, while line '2015' was. resistent. Most susceptible to attack were the varieties '977', '1254', '3014', '1013', '1087', '4012' and '3030', with rates of infestation above 2. The heaviest losses in the medium parameters were suffered by the varieties 977 , '4001', '618' and '2030'.
