The successful rooting of transgenic apple shoots is a key step during Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. In the present study we have examined the influence of different auxin levels in the root induction media, and the presence of vermiculite in the root elongation media on the rooting capacity of in vitro 'Pinova' apple shoots.
