The effect of sowing date and seeding rate on yield and yield components rapeseed on dry land.

In order to study the effects of sowing date and seeding rate on vegetative characters, yield and yield components of rapeseed on cultivar PF 7045/ 91, an experiment was conducted at agricultural research station of Gonbad during 2000 – 2002. The experiment was (RCBD) split plat with 4 replications. Three sowing dates (2 ,17 Oct. a nd , 1 Nov) were as main plots and three seed rate (8,10 and 12 kg/ ha) were subplots. The results of combined analysis showed that, the number of days from emergence to flowering ,physiological maturity and emergence کercentage has significantly difference with a delay in sowing date. Plant height, number of pod per plant, number of grains per pod and 1000 kernel weight has no effects on sowing date and seed rate. The first sowing date had the lowest grain yield (2535 kg/ ha), whereas the third sowing date produced the highest grain yield (3808kg/ ha).
