A Study for the Reorganization of the Agriculture and Fisheries Wholesale Markets in Korea

The objective of this paper is to present some guidelines for reorganizing the Korean agriculture and fisheries wholesale markets, which nowadays face operational difficulties due to increasing competition among marketing channels and decreasing throughputs. To present some guidelines for the reorganization, the present status and problems of the agriculture and fisheries wholesale markets in Korea are analysed and the markets are grouped by status. Based on the results analysed, the guidelines for reorganization are suggested in consideration of the changing environmental conditions surrounding are wholesale markets.
