Relation between the yielding and some morphological features of five rhubarb cultivars (Rheum rhaponticum L.)

Several rhubarb cultivars were investigated: Koral, Karpow Lipskiego, Wczesny Hosera, Wisniowy, Purpurat - in four years of utilization of a plantation. Essential differences in the yielding of the cultivation of Karpow Lipinskiego (102.7 t/ha).The investigated cultivars varied as far as the early yield was concerned. The largest total early yield of petioles was obtained from the production of the cultivars Karpow Lipskiego and Wczesny Hosera (56.7 t/ha). In concideration of the early yield, cultivars Karpow Lipskiego and Wczesny Hosera proved to be the most useful for the cultivation with petioles intended for direct consumption
