Effects of growing chickens on free range system (70 days long) were examined in this research. Observed parameters included basic chemical composition (proteins %, fat %, ash %, dry matter and moisture), macroelements (Ca and P), and microelements (Fe, Zn, Cu, and Mn) in chicken meat. Examined meat samples were from chicken breast, drumstick, and thigh. Results were compared with same parameters observed in chickens raised in classical industrial fattening system. There were no differences in meat chemical composition that can be related to raising chickens on free range system or to length of fattening period. There are some other parameters influenced by fattening system that should be examined, and can be importance for overall chicken meat quality.
