Farm raising of Japanese quails

In this paper a short review was given about the possibility of Japanese quail farm raising. The basic biological characteristics of this species are shown, then the necessary conditions of their housing and requirements for feeding and watering space are presented. Very shortly, the raising systems applied today in an intensive raising of quails are described. The basic message to potential breeders is that Japanese quail is small useful bird which is possible to raise according to principles of industrial poultry husbandry, as well as that a significant income may be achieved from production of eggs and meat of quails.
